Resonance Expansion of Quadratic Quantities with Regularized Quasinormal Modes

نویسندگان

چکیده

Quasinormal Mode Expansion of Quadratic Observables Resonances determine the response resonant structures to excitation with light. The interaction can be quantified optical observables which are products two vector fields satisfying Maxwell's equations. Based on concepts from quasinormal mode theory and Riesz projection method, a general approach is proposed for decomposing these into sum regularized modes. See article number 2200892, by Fridtjof Betz, Felix Binkowski, co-workers more details.

Quasinormal Modes of Near Extremal Black Branes

We find quasinormal modes of near extremal black branes by solving a singular boundary value problem for the Heun equation. The corresponding eigenvalues determine the dispersion law for the collective excitations in the dual strongly coupled N = 4 SYM at finite temperature. In memory of Aleksandr Sergeevich Vshivtsev

Quasinormal modes of maximally charged black holes.

A new algorithm for computing the accurate values of quasinormal frequencies of extremal Reissner-Nordström black holes is presented. The numerically computed values are consistent with the values earlier obtained by Leaver and those obtained through the WKB method. Our results are more precise than other results known to date. We also find a curious fact that the resonant frequencies of gravit...

Quasinormal modes of stringy black holes

String theory is a promising candidate for a fundamental quantum theory of all interactions including Einstein gravity. Some solutions in string theory can be interpreted as black holes. Using the semi-analytic method and WKB method, the quasinormal modes(QNMs)of 1+1 dimensional black hole in string theory are studied. The QNMs of 1+3 dimensional black hole in string theory are also calculated th...

Logarithmic perturbation theory for quasinormal modes

Logarithmic perturbation theory (LPT) is developed and applied to quasinormal modes (QNMs) in open systems. QNMs often do not form a complete set, so LPT is especially convenient because summation over a complete set of unperturbed states is not required. Attention is paid to potentials with exponential tails, and the example of a Pöschl-Teller potential is briefly discussed. A numerical method...

On an Expansion Method for Black Hole Quasinormal Modes and Regge Poles

We present a new method for determining the frequencies and wavefunctions of black hole quasinormal modes (QNMs) and Regge poles. The key idea is a novel ansatz for the wavefunction, which relates the high-l wavefunctions to null geodesics which start at infinity and end in perpetual orbit on the photon sphere. Our ansatz leads naturally to the expansion of QNMs in inverse powers of L = l + 1/2...
